Cueline

Privacy policy

Last updated 4 November 2026 · Developer: BufferSol Technologies · Contact: buffersoltechnologies@gmail.com

Short version: Cueline works without an account. Your scripts stay on your phone unless you switch on backup. We never read them, never use AI on them, and never show ads.

What stays on your device

Scripts, characters, lines, progress, settings and any voice recordings you make are stored locally in the app. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Optional backup (only if you sign in)

If you sign in with Google or an email code, we upload your scripts, characters, lines and progress to our server so you can restore them on a new phone. We store your email address or Google account ID and a random user ID to identify your account. Voice recordings are not uploaded. The server runs on Cloudflare Workers with a MongoDB Atlas database. Data is sent over HTTPS only.

Optional anonymous usage stats (off by default)

If you turn on "Share anonymous usage" in Settings, we send counts and categories (for example "script added" or "learn level 50") with a random install ID to PostHog. We never send script text, titles, character names or your email, and we do not use an advertising ID.

Permissions

Cueline does not use location, contacts, calendar, photos, camera or storage permissions, and does not collect payment or financial data.

Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers. Service providers process data on our behalf: Cloudflare and MongoDB (backup hosting), Google (sign-in) and PostHog (only if you opt in to usage stats).

Your choices and rights

You can delete your account and all cloud data in the app (Settings → Backup & account → Delete account), or follow the steps here. You can ask for a copy or correction of your data by email. Cloud data is deleted when you request deletion.

Children

Cueline is not directed to children under 13.
